A shift in priorities
When she was a 21-year-old graduating from college with a teaching degree, Sandie Siemens set out to find her dream job, and she found it pretty quickly at an elementary school near Winnipeg, Manitoba.
A few years later, Sandie and Lyle started their family and gained a new perspective. “My focus changed from having my dream job to having my dream life,” Sandie says. “So, I started looking for things I could do that would allow me to be a stay-at-home mom, and I found Melaleuca.”
Building a Melaleuca business, Sandie says, is very satisfying. She constantly meets new people and loves helping them improve their lives. She builds her business around her family, and she says she’s rewarded for her efforts like never before. But she also says it can sometimes be difficult.
“I build my business because I love the life it gives me,” she says. “The truth is, there are some days when I don’t feel like setting appointments or giving overviews. But I know those things are part of building a Melaleuca business, and I know that if I want to grow my income and have those freedoms, I need to keep doing the Seven Critical Business-Building Activities.”
Consistency
“There were things I didn’t like about teaching,” Sandie says. “I did those things because I needed to pay the bills. No matter what you do, you have to focus on doing the activities rather than day-to-day emotions. Now, I’m getting rewarded far more for building my Melaleuca business than I was as a teacher, and I can spend a lot more time with my family.”
Indeed, Sandie’s pay as a teacher was around $28,000 for her first year. Today, her Melaleuca check is $35,432—for just one month.
“In the typical job, you have to put in more time if you want more income,” she says. “Doctors have to see more patients, mechanics have to work on more cars and employees have to work more hours. With Melaleuca, you’re not starting from zero every month. You have residual income, and you can grow that income just by working every single month. If you want to consistently grow your Melaleuca income, you have to keep focusing on the right activities.”
A Dream Life
Thanks to Melaleuca, Sandie and her family are living that dream life she was wishing for years ago. With nearly $1.8 million in earnings from Melaleuca, Sandie has the freedom to spend more time with her children than she ever imagined. Earlier this year, they even traveled to tropical Costa Rica together.
“Do I always feel like picking up the phone to make appointments?” Sandie says. “No, but I know if I stay focused on the right activities, my family and I can continue to realize our dreams.”

Sandy you are such an inspiration, I have been a customer with Melaleuca for just 5 years and just the other day said, wow what would our life be like without Melaleuca. They have provided so much Good Health, and a very comfortable lifestyle, because of residual income, and It doesn’t stop there I have used all of these wonderful products for 5 years, and get a check every month since the month I enrolled. What a great company.
I’ve been enrolled since April but I need help with getting outside of my comfort zone. I don’t work and the only contacts I have are on facebook, which I don’t talk to very often. I’ve exhausted trying to get contacts through facebook, resulting in not getting phone numbers and they don’t reply to my messages. I only go out to go grocery shopping. I need suggestions please!
Hi Melissa,
I share your same concerns, I haven’t found much help with one on one training? Try opening a My Melaleuca account, they have meetings and training you can attend.
Let me know if you get some better suggestions, Thanks
