Unless your dark chocolate is sweetened with Xylitol, it won’t fight tooth decay. Xylitol is found in many products as a substitute sweetener for regular sugar. The xylitol alters the chemical bond that bacteria need in order to bond to your tooth. Some products liike Spry gum is chewed 5x’s a day to help prevent tooth decay. People who lack proper amounts of saliva are at a severe risk for developing cavities as they cannot “flush” the food debris away and cannot buffer the acids of many foods/drinks we injest. To be accused of being “Full of SPIT” is a good thing!

I love every Melaleuca product and this is my story here today: I gave a COOL MINT TOOTH POLISH gift to a friend a week ago and the next day I asked her if she tried that and she answered: ” I always has been bleeding of my gum even using the special toothpastes for sensitive gum but with this product that didn’t happen… I’m very impressed” … For me that was not a surprise but I felt again very proud to be a Preferred Customer from the Company. Thank you Melaleuca!

It’s not difficult, Marcus, to find sources saying dark chocolate (like the infographic says) is good for dental hygiene. It’s the sugar that is harmful. Check this, for instance: http://dealondental.wordpress.com/2012/07/02/chocolate-can-actually-be-good-for-your-teeth-for-real/
